This tutorial is designed to teach the reader about encryption and its uses and guide the reader through applying this knowledge of encryption to web pages, emails, and other small pieces of data.
This document contains three main sections. Introduction contains information about encryption that is important to understanding how encryption works. Types of Encryption details the three main categories of encryption techniques and explains why each one is best for its own application. Instructions contains the actual steps that you need to take to use encryption to secure your website, email, or other sensitive data. It is recommended that you read this document in its entirety to obtain the maximum understanding about encryption, but if you are only interested in solving a specific problem quickly, you can skip to Instructions to find the information you need.
